3. YOUR WORK REMAINS YOURS
Submitting a work to Indie Birds does not transfer ownership of your copyright or intellectual property to Camran Films or Indie Birds.
You remain the owner of your work unless you separately enter into a written agreement that expressly provides otherwise.
Different activities may require different permissions or licences. Those permissions will be described in the applicable terms or agreement.
4. THREE WAYS TO PARTICIPATE
A. DISTRIBUTION
Creators may submit completed works for consideration for digital Distribution through Indie Birds.
Distribution is governed separately by the:
DISTRIBUTION TERMS
Submission does not guarantee acceptance, publication, monetisation, views or revenue.
B. MONTHLY CHALLENGE
Creators may participate in the Indie Birds Monthly Challenge by creating and submitting work based on the month’s announced theme.
Each challenge is governed by its own:
MONTHLY CHALLENGE RULES
The challenge is separate from Distribution.
Entering a Monthly Challenge does not automatically submit the work for Distribution.
C. EDITORIAL & CREATOR FEATURES
Indie Birds may independently select creators or works for editorial features, interviews, showcases, social media posts or other promotional opportunities.
Selection for an editorial feature does not automatically create a Distribution agreement.
5. SUBMISSIONS
You are responsible for providing accurate information when submitting a work.
Depending on the submission type, Indie Birds may request:
- Creator information
- Contact details
- Work title
- Synopsis
- Credits
- Film or video

- Music
- Sound recordings

Submitting a work does not make third-party material yours.
7. COPYRIGHT & RIGHTS POLICY
All submissions are subject to the:
COPYRIGHT & RIGHTS POLICY
That policy explains rights ownership, third-party material, permissions, copyright complaints, infringement concerns and related procedures.
Where there is a conflict between these general Creator Program Terms and a specific written Distribution Agreement, the specific agreement will govern the Distribution relationship.
8. EDITORIAL SELECTION
Indie Birds is a curated programme.
Submission does not guarantee:
- Selection
- Publication
- Distribution
- Promotion

Indie Birds may evaluate submissions according to the requirements and creative objectives of the relevant programme activity.
Editorial decisions are made at the discretion of Indie Birds.

13. PROHIBITED CONTENT
Indie Birds may reject or remove submissions that contain or promote material that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, intentionally deceptive, infringing, exploitative or otherwise unsuitable for the programme.
Indie Birds may also restrict content where publication could create significant legal, safety, platform-policy or reputational concerns.
This does not mean that Indie Birds will reject a work merely because it addresses difficult, controversial or sensitive subjects.
14. AI-GENERATED & AI-ASSISTED WORK
AI-assisted or AI-generated work may be permitted where the particular programme allows it.
Creators must disclose material AI use when requested.
Creators remain responsible for ensuring that their use of AI does not knowingly violate third-party rights, applicable law, platform rules or the requirements of the particular programme.

Once a separate Distribution or other agreement has been accepted, withdrawal will be governed by that agreement.
18. NO EMPLOYMENT OR PARTNERSHIP
Participation in the Indie Birds Creator Program does not create an employment relationship, agency relationship, partnership, joint venture or other similar relationship between the creator and Camran Films.
